Robbery Suspects Discharge Firearm Inside Strathmore 7-Eleven

Strathmore, Alberta – At approximately 2:10 am on June 17, 2017, Strathmore RCMP were called to an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven Gas station located on Highway 1 in Strathmore, Alberta.

Two males entered the convenience store, one armed with a long barreled rifle. The rifle was pointed at the customers and staff and the male demanded cash and cigarettes.

Once the staff member had provided cash and cigarettes, the robber discharged the firearm twice inside the store in the general direction of the staff member. The shots did not hit the staff member and no one was physically injured during this incident.

The males then fled the scene in a waiting vehicle. Police are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the persons involved in this crime.
