Kingston, Ontario – A 72-year-old local woman has been charged for historical sexual assaults against her former partner.
In March 2017 the victim approached Kingston Police in regards to historical sexual assaults. Detectives from the Kingston Police Sexual Assault Unit interviewed her and as a result of the information obtained and investigation was opened. Detectives learned that the incidents occurred between May 2004 and September 2005 during which time the victim was living with the accused.
On May 26, 2017 the accused turned herself in at police headquarters. The accused was later released with conditions and a future court date.
On June 13, 2017 an information was sworn to before the court and the accused has been charged with three counts of sexual assault related offence and unlawfully in a dwelling.
