Camrose Police Arrest 34-Year-Old Woman From Sedgewick Following Shoplifting Incident

Camrose, Alberta – A traffic stop was conducted and Police determined that the female driver was breaching a condition of her recognizance for operating a motor vehicle without the registered owners consent. During the arrest Police located a small quantity of methamphetamine and also found her to be in possession of a cell phone which was also contrary to her conditions. The 39 year old woman was charged with breaching her conditions and possession of a controlled substance. The female remains in custody until the next court date.

Police were dispatched to a west end business who had observed a woman stealing merchandise from their store. The woman had loaded stolen property into her vehicle and then returned to the business to pick up her children. Police advised the woman that she was under arrest at which time she became verbally aggressive and pulled away from Police. The 34 year old woman from Sedgewick was arrested and charged with theft, possession of stolen property, obstruction and resist arrest. She was released on an appearance notice.
