Investigation into Street Level Drug Trafficking Results in Multiple Arrests in Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat, Alberta – A Medicine Hat Police Service investigation into the local methamphetamine and opioid market has resulted in several arrests and the seizure of over $10,000 worth of drugs.

In June 2017, The Medicine Hat Police Service concluded a two-month long operation targeting street level methamphetamine and opioid traffickers in Medicine Hat, AB. Resulting from this investigation 11 people have been charged with 45 drug related offences.

During the course of the investigation, the following was seized:

  • 75 grams of methamphetamine
  • 2 grams of heroin
  • 15.5 grams of cocaine
  • 3 grams of marihuana

Facing charges are:

– Michael Lariviere of Medicine Hat, AB – charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of proceeds of crime

– Daniel Chrysler of Lethbridge, AB – charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of proceeds of crime

– Kelsie Mast of Medicine Ha, ABt – charged with trafficking methamphetamine x 3, trafficking heroin, intimidation of a Justice Official, and uttering threats

– Richard Strong of Medicine Hat, AB – charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine

– Ashley Gackle of Medicine Hat, AB – charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine

– Eva Reviczky of Medicine Hat, AB – charged with possession of a controlled substance x 3

– Jay Brodie of Medicine Hat, AB – charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of proceeds of crime, possession of stolen property, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, breach of probation x 2

– Tammie Helem of Medicine Hat, AB – charged with trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking heroin, and possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine

– Levi Aebig of Medicine Hat, AB – charged with trafficking heroin x 4, trafficking methamphetamine x 4, possession of proceeds of crime, possession of prohibited weapon, breach of a firearms prohibition order x 3

– Wrayne Wawia of Medicine Hat, AB – warrant issued for charges of trafficking methamphetamine x 2, trafficking cocaine x 2, and proceeds of crime

– Frank Sandor of Wainwright, AB – warrant issued for breach of recognizance
