RCMP investigating suspicious ATV fire in Caraquet, New Brunswick

Caraquet, New Brunswick – The Northeast District RCMP is asking for the public’s help in identifying four persons of interest in connection with an ATV theft and suspicious fire.

On June 1, 2017, RCMP received a report of an ATV stolen from a home near Sainte-Anne-du-Bocage church in Caraquet. On June 4, around 9 p.m., RCMP received a report of an ATV on fire at the quarry at the end of chemin Alexis, in Caraquet. The ATV proved to be the one stolen near Sainte-Anne-du-Bocage three days earlier. It was destroyed in the fire.

The ATV is described as a green 2008 Arctic Cat. Witnesses reported seeing two ATVs, each carrying two people, leaving quickly from the area of the quarry around the time of the fire.
