Saskatoon Traffic Stop Results In Recovery Of Stolen Vehicle, Seizure Of Shotgun And Ammunition

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Two men and a woman are facing charges following a traffic stop yesterday morning.

At approximately 6:45 a.m., June 20, 2017, Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 block of 33rd Street West after observing a vehicle driving erratically.

Investigation also revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen on June 18 and that the keys to the vehicle had been left nearby in another unlocked vehicle.

Five persons were arrested without incident and a shotgun and ammunition were located inside the vehicle. Two of them were released without charges.

As a result of the investigation, two men, ages 29 and 32,are facing charges of; Careless Use of a Firearm (x2), Possession of a Prohibited Firearm, Carrying Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Unauthorized Possession in Motor Vehicle and Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition. An 18-year-old woman is charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000. (Court Info #991016230).
