RCMP investigating stolen vehicles in Mount Stewart, PEI

Mount Stewart, Prince Edward Island – On June 20th, 2017 at approximately 650 am Queens District RCMP received a call of a young male squealing tires on Main Street in Mount Stewart, PEI. The vehicle involved was previously reported stolen from Charlottetown earlier in the morning. A patrol was made and during the investigation a youth aged 16 from Mount Stewart, was identified as being the driver of the vehicle. He was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and will appear in Charlottetown Provincial Court in July 2017.

The 1996 Beige GMC Sierra truck has not yet been recovered with PEI license plate 511 QJ. If anyone knows its whereabouts or sees this vehicle please contact Queens District RCMP at 902-368-9300.

Queens District RCMP also had a report of a Mustang stolen from the Tracadie Cross area. It was involved in a collision in Charlottetown during the early hours of June 20th, 2017. This matter is continuing to be investigated.
