Lloydminster RCMP Looking for Witnesses to Aggravated Assault

Lloydminster, Alberta – At Approximately 11:00 p.m. on June 26, 2017, Lloydminster RCMP received a call of a man who had been stabbed. RCMP learned that the victim had been standing outside a business in the 4800 block of 50 Street when he was approached by two men. One of the suspects then stabbed the victim. The two suspects fled south from that location on foot to a residence in the area. The victim was transported to the Lloydminster hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries and later released.

Lloydminster RCMP currently have two suspects in custody and are asking that any members of the public who may have witnessed this incident or the two suspects flee the area to contact police. The investigation is ongoing at this time and more details will be given once available.
