Tip for Wanted Man Leads to Recovered Stolen Property in Lloydminster

Lloydminster, Saskatchewan – On June 17, 2017, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Lloydminster RCMP received a tip that a male, who had warrants for his arrest, was seen in the 2700 block of 48 Avenue. RCMP attended the address and saw the male, who was known to police, flee on foot from the residence. A vehicle that the male had been standing beside was determined to have been stolen from the Maidstone.

The investigation continued into the known male and stolen truck and on June 23, 2017, and police executed a search warrant in the 4500 block of 45 Avenue. As a result of the search warrant police were able to recover power tools, bikes, electronics, generators and a telescope.

On June 25, 2017, RCMP were able to locate the male in the 3000 block of 56 Avenue. The man was arrested without incident.

Mark Morison, 33 years old from Lloydminster, has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Obstruction, Possess break-in instruments, and Failing to comply. Morison appeared before a Justice of the peace and appeared in Saskatchewan Provincial Court on Monday June 26, 2017.
