Major Crime Unit investigating a homicide in Whitehorse, Yukon

Whitehorse, Yukon – Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on June 28th, 2017, Whitehorse RCMP responded to a report of a body of a deceased man found in the Whitehorse area.

The incident was quickly deemed a homicide. The Major Crime Unit is leading the investigation.

The victim is a 25-year-old man from Whitehorse.

Major Crime Unit investigators are working closely with the Yukon Coroner’s Service on this investigation. A forensic autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow at Vancouver General Hospital.
