Two Edmonton Men Charged After Pointing Gun Inside Lloydminster Business

Lloydminster, Alberta – On June 21, 2017, around 1:30 a.m., Lloydminster RCMP received a call in the 6600 block of 43 Street of a man who had allegedly pointed a handgun at the business manager. RCMP attended the address and located two men who were taken into custody without incident. Police located a handgun along with 13.5 grams of Cocaine inside the business.

Ahmed Mohamed, 31 years old from Edmonton has and been charged with eight firearms offences, Possession of a controlled substance, Mischief, and two Breach charges.

Mohamed Yusuf, 26 years old from Edmonton has been charged with eight firearms offences, Possession of a controlled substance, Obstruction and Fail to comply.

Both men appeared before a Justice of the Peace. Yusuf was remanded in custody while Ahmed was released on bail. Both men will appear in Alberta Provincial Court on July 4, 2017.
