Hinton, Alberta – On July 1st, 2017 at approximately 01:50 AM, the Hinton RCMP and Emergency Services responded to a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 16 and highway 40 south.

A collision occurred between a pickup truck travelling northbound on Highway 40 south and a semi-tractor trailer travelling eastbound on highway 16. The collision occurred at the intersection of both highways.
