Elsipogtog First Nation Man charged with drug trafficking

Elsipogtog First Nation, New Brunswick – A 29-year-old man from the Elsipogtog First Nation has been charged with trafficking a controlled substance following a drug seizure on June 29, 2017.

The man was arrested on June 29, when the Southeast District RCMP executed a search warrant at an Elsipogtog First Nation residence. Police seized a quantity of what are believed to be hydromorphone pills, a loaded firearm, and prohibited weapons. Money and drug paraphernalia were also seized during the search.

Noel Sock appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on July 4, 2017. He has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court again on July 26, 2017.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges are possible.
