Moncton, New Brunswick – The Codiac Regional RCMP and the RCMP’s Forensic Identification team have completed processing the scene a 21-year-old woman’s death on Elmwood Drive in Moncton.
Police responded to a complaint that a woman had been found unconscious, at approximately 3:40 p.m. on July 1, 2017, at 401 Elmwood Drive. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death continues, but foul is play is not suspected at this time.
“An autopsy was performed in Saint John on July 3, 2017,” says Sgt. Chantal Farrah. “Police are waiting for those results and are working to determine exactly what happened. We are following up and speaking with people who knew the deceased or who may have information that can assist with the investigation.”
