Airdrie, Alberta – Airdrie RCMP are asking the public for information with regards to the theft of a purse from hairBenders Salon on Main Street in Airdrie.
On July 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm, a lone male entered hairBenders Salon and asked to view products within the salon as well as use the restroom. While inside the salon, he was able to steal a purse from an employee’s storage closet while no one was looking. He then concealed the purse in his jacket before moving it to his backpack bag with wheels. The male then exited the store on foot. The male was wearing a very distinctive outfit and also carrying an over-the-shoulder bag that was black in colour and pulling a black and yellow backpack bag with wheels. The stolen purse contained a black wallet, numerous pieces of identification, keys, medication, a padlock, and personal accessories.
The male suspect is described as:
- Caucasian male
- Approximately 6 feet tall, heavier build with dirty blonde hair
- He was wearing black Adidas sandals with white socks, dark blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and a dark leather jacket with a white stripe on the arm
- Carrying a black over-the-shoulder bag
- Pulling a large black and yellow backpack bag with wheels
