What a Mountie did for five DUCKS!!$$

Fort St. John, BC – In the morning hours of July 4th, 2017, a small sound heard by a passerby initiated a heroic rescue in Fort St John this date.

Cst Tristan Williams was called to assist a feathered family in crisis when advised that five siblings had fallen through a storm sewer grate while following behind their mother.

Upon removing the storm sewer grate Cst. Williams was able to see the trembling downy fivesome.

Leaning down through the opening to retrieve them one by one and return them to safety without contamination.

After consultation with Avian Rescue Authorities an immediate course of action was clear, the siblings were returned to their home environment where they were reunited with their mother unharmed.

Police took this incident seriously and determined that no fowl play was involved.
