UPDATE: St. Albert Police Lay Charges in Grow Op Case

St. Albert, Alberta – On January 30, 2017, a drug search warrant was conducted at a residence on Braeside area of St. Albert and several hundred marijuana plants were seized from a marihuana grow operation in the residence.

Travis Daniel Rafters, age 26, of Camrose or Edmonton, Alberta, was charged with:

  • Production of Cannabis Marihuana
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking both contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
  • Theft of electricity/ gas or telecommunications over $5000. contrary to the Criminal Code.

Rafters failed to appear in court so a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

St. Albert RCMP – Drug Seizure

St. Albert, AB – On January 30th, 2017, at approximately 1:50 p.m. St Albert RCMP responded to a Residential Break and Enter complaint in the Braeside Community. During their investigation, Police discovered a marijuana grow operation in the residence.

The St Albert RCMP, St Albert Drug Unit and A.L.E.R.T executed a search warrant on the residence and seized several hundred marihuana plants. The investigation is still on-going and charges are pending.
