Saskatoon Police Investigate After Male Stabbed in Neck

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Saskatoon Police arrested a man after he was found to have stabbed another man in the neck Tuesday evening.

Officers on patrol were called to an address in the 200 block of Grant Street at 7:50 p.m., July 19, 2017, for a report of an injured male. Upon arrival, Police discovered a 28 year old male suffering from a stab wound to his neck where a significant amount of blood was visible. The victim told officers he had been stabbed in the neck with a knife. Officers administered first aid until MD Ambulance arrived and transported the victim to hospital for treatment. He is now in stable condition.

A short time after the assault, Police arrested a 27 year old male suspect without incident, at an address in the 2700 block of Main Street. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and Breach of Recognizance.

The suspect and victim are known to each other.
