Elk Island Public School Teacher charged with sexual offences

Sherwood Park, Alberta – A teacher from the Elk Island Public School Division has been charged with sexual offences relating to a female student. Strathcona County RCMP received the complaint on Wednesday July 5, 2017.

Strathcona County RCMP have now laid the following charges against 32 year old Graeme Patrick FORSYTH of Strathcona County:

  • Sexual Interference
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • Invitation to Sexual Touching
  • Sexual Assault

FORSYTH has been released on a recognizance with several conditions and is scheduled to appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on Wednesday August 30, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.

It is alleged the offences took place between May 1, 2015 and September 1, 2015.

The female victim and her family are currently being offered support from the Strathcona County Victim Services Unit.
