Innisfail RCMP arrest two for possession of stolen property

Innisfail Alberta – On July 19, 2017 at approximately 5 pm, RCMP Innisfail received a complaint from the public of a suspicious vehicle at the Spruceview gas station. The complainant reported the vehicle was a black F250, and was pulling a fusion holiday trailer with no plate, the male driver was behaving strangely.

Innisfail RCMP members responded and observed the truck and trailer westbound on highway 54, members attempted a traffic stop however the vehicle failed to stop for police. The vehicle was monitored from a distance and eventually drove into a property in the rural Markerville area. RCMP police dog services was contacted to assist as was the RCMP air services helicopter.

RCMP contained the scene and with the assistance of police dog services as well as air services a search was conducted of the area. A 43 year old male from Red Deer and a 36 year old female from Red Deer were both arrested inside a residence on the property. Neither the male or the female appear to have a connection to the residence.

Both individuals are now facing a number of charges.

Names will not be released until such time an information is sworn.
