Camrose Police Charge 60-Year-Old Woman with Impaired Driving

Camrose, Alberta – July 22nd, 2017 – While conducting patrols, Police noted a vehicle driving with the passenger door open. A traffic stop was conducted and it was determined the occupants were trying to get a bee out of the vehicle. During the stop a strong odour of raw cannabis marihuana was noted. A search of the vehicle located 26 grams and the male driver was charged and released for possessing the cannabis.

A check stop was conducted in the west end of Camrose and a female driver showed signs of intoxication. She failed the roadside screening test and was arrested for impaired driving. She later refused to provide breath samples. The 60 year old female was charged with impaired driving, refusing a breath sample, failing to possess a driver’s license and liquor in a vehicle. She was also charged with possessing cannabis marihuana after 12 grams was located as well as possessing has oil.

A traffic stop was conducted when the vehicle was noted driving without its headlights on. The female driver showed signs of intoxication and failed the roadside screening test. She was arrested for impaired driving and provided breath samples of 140mg% and 130mg$. The 27 year old female was charged with impaired driving, driving while over 80mg% and open liquor in a vehicle.

Police received calls of a noisy party in the north side of the city. The male occupant of the residence was subsequently charged under the City of Camrose bylaw for a noisy party.
