Coronation RCMP investigate theft of ATM in Castor

Castor, Alberta – On July 19, 2017, a stolen White Ford F-150 parked in front of the Vision Credit Union on 50th Avenue in Castor, Alberta.

At approximately 4:15 a.m., two suspects entered the bank, attaching a chain to the ATM. The truck with attached chain drove away, ripping the ATM from the wall, causing extensive damage. The stolen truck and ATM were later recovered a short distance away from Castor. An additional truck was reported stolen in Castor, and was recovered on July 20, 2017, in Red Deer.

Forensic Identification Services attended the scene of the recovered ATM. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Video surveillance was obtained from a Red Deer retail store, and police are looking to identify and speak with the male in the photograph.
