Police Looking for Occupants of Mini-Van Involved in QEII Collision

Leduc, Alberta – On 2017.07.23 at 1600 hrs, Leduc Fire and Leduc Integrated Traffic Services were dispatched to a possible multi-vehicle collision in the south bound lanes of the QEII Highway at the Black Gold overpass.

Upon arrival, a lone damaged mini-van was located abandoned against the cable barrier. The original caller indicated the occupant(s) of the mini-van entered a white car that had stopped at the collision scene, then fled.

If anyone has any information on who was operating the mini-van, or information on the white car that stopped prior to 1st responder’s arrival, they are asked to contact the Leduc RCMP.

Road, weather conditions were not a factor. The mini-van was not stolen and the registered owner has been co-operative.
