RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit makes drug arrests

Goose Lake, Shelburne County, Nova Scotia – Pursuant to an investigation, Members of Shelburne County Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 103 on July 27. As a result, two people have been charged with drug-related offences.

Cody Douglas Worthen, 38, and 27-year-old Janine Leora Ruth Hamilton, both from Barrington, were arrested at the scene without incident.

RCMP seized cocaine, scales, cash, cell phones, and marihuana from the vehicle. Both are facing one charge each of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. They were released from custody later the next day and are scheduled to appear in Shelburne Provincial Court on October 25.
