Motorcycle Rider Charged with Impaired and Riding Without Helmet in Camrose

Camrose, Alberta – August 1st, 2017 – A routine traffic stop resulted in a female driver being charged with operating a vehicle without a license and operating an uninsured vehicle.

Police received a complaint that a male was operating a motorcycle without a helmet. Police located the motorcycle speeding on Grand Drive and a vehicle stop was conducted. The 21 year old male operator displayed signs of alcohol impairment and failed a roadside test. He was arrested and transported to Police headquarters where he provided samples of his breath which exceeded the legal limit. The male was later released on a promise to appear with charges of impaired driving and dangerous driving.
