Suspicious vehicle complaint in Leduc County results in arrests and charges

Leduc, Alberta – On July 27th, 2017 at approximately 7:30 AM, Leduc RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle, in Leduc County, near Range Road 265 and Glenpark Road. RCMP located the vehicle and entered into an investigation which resulted in the arrest of two males.

Jaden Elphick, of Thorsby, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Break and Enter Tools.

Ty Hatcher of Leduc, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Break and Enter Tools and Possession of Stolen Property.

Elphick and Hatcher were released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking to appear in Leduc court on August 31st, 2017.

“We owe thanks to the community when they demonstrate how engaged they are in crime prevention”, says Staff Sergeant Chad Orr of Leduc Detachment. “Policing is successful when citizens take ownership by doing things like calling in suspicious people, vehicles or activities.”
