Camrose Police Respond to Complaint of Aggressive Vacuum Cleaner Salesman

Camrose, Alberta – August 2nd, 2017 – At 4:30 AM on August 1st, a Ford F350 and a fifth wheel holiday trailer were stolen from a residence in the Valleyview subdivision. The suspects became nervous and abandoned the vehicle in the Parkridge area. Police are continuing to investigate the theft.

On the same morning, Police received two separate complaints from residents in the Valleyview area after having property stolen from within their vehicle. In both cases the garage door openers inside the vehicles were used to gain access to the owner’s garages. Also in both cases the vehicles were unlocked allowing the suspect(s) easy access to the vehicle and to the garages.

A complaint was made of an aggressive vacuum cleaner salesman on 47th street in the 4800 block. Police were unable to locate the male to confirm if he had a legitimate business or if he possessed a city business license.

August 1st, 2017 – A routine traffic stop resulted in a female driver being charged with operating a vehicle without a license and operating an uninsured vehicle.

Police received a complaint that a male was operating a motorcycle without a helmet. Police located the motorcycle speeding on Grand Drive and a vehicle stop was conducted. The 21 year old male operator displayed signs of alcohol impairment and failed a roadside test. He was arrested and transported to Police headquarters where he provided samples of his breath which exceeded the legal limit. The male was later released on a promise to appear with charges of impaired driving and dangerous driving.
