Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – On August 1st, 2017 members of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), with the assistance the Saskatoon Police Service Special Investigations, Tactical Support and Air Support Units and Warman RCMP completed an investigation into methamphetamine trafficking in Saskatoon. As a result a 42 year old man was arrested for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking methamphetamine in the 1600 block of 8th Street East, Saskatoon.
Following the arrest, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 100 block of Haichert Street in Warman. The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately; 945 grams of methamphetamine, 7 grams of cocaine, 31 grams of cannabis resin, 8 grams of marihuana, $7,500 dollars, knives and brass knuckles.
The 42 year old man has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine, Possession of cannabis resin and marihuana, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime over $5000 and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace.
CFSEU is funded by the Government of Saskatchewan through the Ministry of Justice, Corrections and Policing. CFSEU is an investigative body comprised of personnel from partner agencies from the Saskatoon Police Service, Prince Albert Police Service, Regina Police Service and The RCMP ‘F’ Division. The mandate of CFSEU is to expose, investigate, disrupt, dismantle and prosecute organized crime enterprises.
