Police investigate suspicious death in northeast Edmonton

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section is investigating a suspicious death that occurred early this morning in northeast Edmonton.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, Northeast Division patrol officers responded to a weapons complaint a residential address in the area of 118 Avenue and 54 Street.

EMS and EPS arrived and found a man suffering from a stab wound(s).

EMS treated and transported a male to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

An autopsy has yet to be scheduled.

Police continue to investigate.
