Argyle Head, Nova Scotia – Yarmouth District RCMP is investigating a collision involving two ATV’s.
Just prior to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Yarmouth Rural RCMP responded to a collision between two ATVs on the Boyd Rd. Initial investigation determined that neither rider were wearing helmets and the headlights on the ATV’s were not being used at the time of the collision.
A 30-year-old man from Argyle Head, was airlifted by EHS Lifeflight to the QEII in Halifax with life-threatening injuries. The other rider, a 38-year-old woman from Pembroke, was transported to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, where she was later released after being treated for minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing.

The driver of one of the ATVs, a 30-year-old man from Yarmouth County, succumbed to his injuries while in hospital.
