Slave Lake, Alberta – The RCMP are investigating after the discovery of a woman’s body in the Lesser Slave River yesterday.
At approximately 8:00 pm on August 5, a citizen contacted Slave Lake RCMP to report that they had discovered a body in the Lesser Slave River, East of the town of Slave Lake.
The cause of death remains under investigation. At this time, investigators believe that the body may be that of 21-year-old Nicole Brendan Robar. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, August 8 at which time the identity of the deceased will be confirmed and the cause of death will be determined.
Nicole Robar was previously reported as missing to Spruce Grove RCMP on August 1st and was reported to have been in Slave Lake on July 10.
