St. Albert, Alberta – On August 4th, 2017 at approximately 7:30 PM, a stolen white GMC Sierra bearing licence plate BHS 3886 was recovered in Rimbey area after being stolen overnight from a business in Riel Park in St. Albert. The stolen GMC was abandoned on a rural area near Rimbey and the licence plate was removed from the truck and hasn’t been recovered.
Licence plates are becoming a hot target for thieves and St. Albert RCMP encourage residents to secure their licence plates so they don’t get “screwed” by crooks. Criminals may attempt to use the stolen licence plate to disguise a stolen vehicle or commit other illegal acts.
St. Albert Neighbourhood Watch provides free anti-theft screws that require special tools to remove. Get the anti-theft screws installed at St. Albert auto dealers, or Neighbourhood Watch can install and remove them for you. Send an email to [email protected]
