Theft, Smashed Windows and Counterfeit American Cash Investigated by Camrose Police

Camrose, Alberta – August 10, 2017 – Police observed a youth riding a bike that had been stolen from a nearby residence. The youth was arrested and charged with theft and possession of stolen property.

The front glass door to an apartment building had been smashed on two occasions, once on June 8 and again on July 10. Police were able to determine that a 28 year old male was responsible for the damages and he was charged with two counts of mischief.

A liquor store advised that a man had attempted to make a purchase using counterfeit American money. Police are following up on leads to identify the male. There has been a significant amount of counterfeit American money circulating in our community so Police are advising businesses to use caution when handling American funds.
