Two people charged with drug trafficking related charges and 125 grams of cocaine seized

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – Two people have been charged and 125 Grams of cocaine have been seized after an Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) investigation.

On Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at approximately 7:24 p.m. the Prince Albert Police Service Tactical Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on the 500 Block 27 Street East.

A male and female suspect were arrested in the residence without incident. ISET investigators completed the search of the residence and located 125 grams of cocaine, multiple cell phones and drug trafficking paraphernalia, digital scale and Canadian currency.

Charges were formally laid August 10, 2017 on the 41-year-old male from Prince Albert and 38-year-old female from Prince Albert. The suspects are facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for the purpose of trafficking and having in their possession proceeds of crime not exceeding $5,000 (Information #991021780).

The male suspect is facing one additional charge of unlawfully trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine).

The suspects have been released on undertaking with conditions to appear before court on August 17, 2017.

The Integrated Street Enforcement Team is made up of members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Prince Albert Police Service.
