Male assaulted after meeting up with a female he was communicating with on an on-line dating website

Winnipeg, Manitoba – On August 14, 2017 shortly after midnight, a male was communicating with a female over a popular on-line dating website. He then made arrangements to meet at a residence in the first 100 block of Tyndal Ave.

Upon entering the residence, the male was assaulted by several unknown persons and robbed of his personal belongings. The victim was able to escape and flee the residence; however, he was pursued by his attackers and assaulted a second time in the area of Burrows Ave. and Tyndall Ave. He was able to escape to safety.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his upper body.
