Males from Edmonton & Vancouver Arrested in Winnipeg Homicide Case

Winnipeg, Manitoba – On August 13, 2017 at approximately 10:00 p.m., Winnipeg Police were alerted to the sounds of a possible assault in the 100 block of Killarney Ave. Upon arrival officers located a 29 year-old-male, unresponsive and not breathing. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service attended and advised the male was deceased.

The victim has been identified as Mustafa Peyawary, 29-years-old of Winnipeg.

Two suspects were identified, taken in to custody, and later charged by the Homicide Unit:

  • Damir KULIC, 27-years-old of Vancouver, B.C
  • Ahamed Althaaf ISMAIL, 29-years-old of Edmonton

Both males have been charged with First Degree Murder and detained in custody.

The victim had signs of massive blunt force trauma to his body and it is believed that he was assaulted over an extended period of time.
