Strathcona County RCMP investigate vehicle arson

Strathcona County, Alberta – Strathcona County RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in gathering information on the following crime:

On Saturday August 12, 2017 at 12:15 a.m. Strathcona County RCMP and Strathcona County Emergency Services responded to a vehicle fire at a residence located on Garnet Cres in Sherwood Park.

The owner of the vehicle was on the side the residence when he noticed a flash of light coming from the front yard. He went to the front and observed the front end of his vehicle on fire and an individual running away with a jerry can in their hand. The suspect was last seen heading east on Garnet Cres.

No one was injured during the incident.
