39-Year-Old Saskatoon Woman Charged with Imparied in Prince Albert

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – On Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:57 a.m. patrol was dispatched to a business on 200 Block 15 Street West for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) hit and run.

The vehicle involved in the MVA was located on 12 Street West signaling and turning westbound. Patrol activated their emergency lights and sirens and the vehicle failed to yield. The vehicle eventually stopped on 1200 Block 3rd Ave. West.

Officers approached the vehicle and observed the driver had appearances of intoxication. The female driver failed the roadside Assisted Screening Device (ASD) test administered and was brought back to cells and failed subsequent breathalyzer tests. The vehicle was towed.

A 39-year-old female from Saskatoon is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding .08.

The suspect has been released to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court October 17, 2017.
