Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – A 30 year old man and a 20 year old woman, both from Saskatoon, are facing charges following the recovery of thousands of dollars in stolen sports equipment.
On August 17, 2017, patrol officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 200 block of Imperial Street. When they arrived, the officers spotted what appeared to be a large amount of new sporting equipment in the back of a Dodge Ram truck. The items were found to be stolen from a break and enter to a hockey arena on Grasswood Road. Additional items believed to be connected to other business break and enters were also located at the scene. The investigation into the stolen property is ongoing.
The male accused was found to have two outstanding warrants. He is facing a charge of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 and Breach of Recognizance. The female is facing a charge of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000.
