Accused in Domestic Case Surrenders to Police

Calgary, Alberta – A man wanted in connection with domestic offences is now in police custody.  Junius Omarr Golar, 37, of Calgary, contacted the Calgary Police Service Domestic Conflict Unit and arranged to surrender to police yesterday afternoon. He was taken into custody without incident.

He is charged with two counts of assault, one count of uttering threats, and two counts of failing to comply with a court order.

We had been concerned for Golar’s welfare after a domestic incident on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, because investigators believed he had sustained an injury that required medical attention. When he surrendered, he was in good condition.

Calgary Police concerned for wellbeing of man wanted on warrants – ARRESTED

Calgary, Alberta – The Calgary Police Service is asking for help to locate a man wanted on warrants in connection with domestic offences as investigators are concerned for both his welfare and the safety of his domestic partner.

Junius Omarr GOLAR, 37, of Calgary, is wanted on warrants for two counts of assault, one count of uttering threats, and two counts of failing to comply with a court order.

The warrants are connected to a violent domestic conflict that occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017. It is alleged that GOLAR was involved in the incident and investigators believe he sustained an injury that would have required medical attention.

GOLAR spoke to police by phone immediately after the incident, but neither police nor his family have been able to contact or locate him since. Given his injury and other circumstances around the incident, investigators are concerned for his welfare and need to locate him to ensure both the safety of him and the victim in the incident.

GOLAR is described as Black, 5’9” tall, with black hair, brown eyes and a medium build. He has a panther tattoo on his right shoulder, praying hands and a dragon on his right shoulder, a diamond tattoo on his left ring finger, and Arabic characters on his right ear and right hand.
