Camrose Police Charge Female With Impaired Driving Following Collision

Camrose, Alberta – Numerous calls were received that a two vehicle collision had occurred and that the offending vehicle was attempting to drive away from the scene. Police attended and determined that a vehicle was travelling west bound on 50 Avenue and struck a parked vehicle on the side of the road. The driver of the west bound vehicle, an adult female, was placed under arrest for impaired driving. She provided two breath samples which had the respective readings of 190mg% and 200mg%. The female was charged with impaired driving, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content over the legal limit and dangerous driving.

Police conducted a curfew check on a youth who had a court ordered condition to abide by a curfew. The youth was not home as per his condition and will be charged for breaching his release condition.

Police attended a call from a resident who reported that an unknown person opened the front door to his residence. A male matching the description was located nearby hiding under a truck. The adult male was grossly intoxicated and police determined that the adult was currently on release from the courts with a condition to abstain from consuming alcohol. He was placed under arrest for breaching this condition and lodged into cells.

An east end business advised sometime overnight an unknown person entered the locked compound and stole a truck from inside of the locked compound. The suspect then broke through the gate with the stolen truck and fled from scene.

A homeowner indicated that sometime overnight unknown person(s) stole four tires from his vehicle. The suspect(s) used a jack under the vehicle to steal the tires.

A male advised sometime over the weekend his vehicle was damaged while parked on 48 Street in the 4900 block.
