Grande Prairie RCMP investigate collision south of town

Grande Prairie, Alberta – On August 24, 2017 at approximately 12:30 PM, the RCMP responded to a collision involving two semi-trucks on Highway 40 near Township Road 683 south of town.

One of the drivers involved in the collision was transported to the hospital via ambulance with minor non-life threatening injuries.

At this time traffic will be limited to the South bound lane. Motorist should expect delays in the area for the next few hours.

An update will be sent once traffic resumes normally.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.

UPDATE: 10:53 PM Aug 24 – Following a motor vehicle collision on Highway 40 near Township Road 683 South of Grande Prairie, the RCMP can advise that both lanes of travel are open.
