Over $54,000 worth of illegal drugs seized after multiple warrants executed in London

London, Ontario – On Wednesday, August 23 2017, members of the Guns and Drugs Section, consisting of members of the London Police Service and RCMP, with the assistance of our Emergency Response Unit, executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at residences on Hamilton Road, Maitland Street, Dalhousie Drive and Jalna Boulevard.

The following drugs were seized:

  • Cocaine: 92 grams. Value: $9100
  • Crystal Methamphetamine: 252 grams. Value $25,520
  • Suspected Fentanyl powder: 30 grams. Value: $15,000
  • Marijuana bud: 434 grams. Value: $4,340
  • Hashish: 15 grams. Value: $300
  • Shatter: 0.5 grams. Value: $40
  • Hashish oil: 5 grams. Value: $225

TOTAL $54,525

As a result of the warrants and subsequent investigation, Michael Vail (31) and Summer Boyko (32), both of London, are charged jointly with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Charges:

  • Three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2).

Michael Vail is charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule II substance, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • Possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
  • Breach of probation, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Summer Boyko is charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Michael Vail and a 39-year-old London woman are charged jointly with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges:

  • Possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2); and
  • Possession of a schedule II substance, contrary to section 4(1).

Nelson Cruz (31) and Anne Marie Carter (32), both of London, are charged jointly with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges:

  • Possession of a schedule II substance, contrary to section 4(1); and
  • Three counts of traffic in a schedule I substance, contrary to section 5(1).

Nelson Cruz is charged with:

  • Fail to comply with condition of a judicial release, contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
