Red Deer RCMP look for Mitchell Huber on warrants – ARRESTED

Red Deer, Alberta – 23 year old Mitchell Thomas Huber was taken into custody without incident this afternoon at a residence in Blackfalds in a joint high-risk arrest effected by Blackfalds and Red Deer RCMP officers. Huber was wanted on 10 warrants out of Red Deer after being identified as the suspect who fired a gun at another driver in a road rage incident on August 17.



Red Deer RCMP are searching for 23 year old Mitchell Thomas Huber, who is wanted on 10 warrants after being identified as the suspect who fired a gun at another driver in a road rage incident on August 17.

The incident occurred at the intersection of 57 Avenue and Kerry Wood Drive the evening of August 17, when a man exited his car and confronted the suspect, who had been driving aggressively. The suspect displayed a handgun and fired a shot that struck the victim’s car, then fled the scene. No one was injured in this incident. The suspect truck was later located on fire on Township Road 400 north of Blackfalds and had to be extinguished by fire fighters. The truck had been reported stolen out of Whitecourt and the license plate on it had also been stolen separately out of Whitecourt.

Red Deer RCMP quickly identified the suspect as Mitchell Huber and are asking for public assistance to locate him; RCMP believe he is in the Red Deer area.

Mitchell Huber is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 6’ tall
  • 200 lbs
  • Red hair
  • Hazel eyes
  • Large black and grey tattoo on the left side of his neck with the script letters E and S within it; another tattoo on his right forearm


Huber faces 10 Criminal Code charges including discharging a firearm with intent, careless use of a firearm and other weapons charges, possession of stolen property (X 3) and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
