Airdrie RCMP Looking to Identify Truck Owner – UPDATED

Airdrie, Alberta – Airdrie RCMP would like to thank the public for information provided with regards to the theft of a trailer containing off-road vehicles that occurred on East Lake Boulevard in Airdrie.

The owner of the truck used by suspects in the theft of the trailer has been identified. It was learned that the truck was also stolen at the time of the theft.

During the night of August 12, 2017, a trailer was stolen from behind Dash Auto Graphics and Tinting in Airdrie. The trailer contained 3 Yamaha dirt bikes and a Can Am ATV Outlander. The trailer was secured with tire locks that the suspect was unable to defeat. However, the suspect dragged the trailer, with tire locks in place, from Airdrie to a nearby rural area where it was later recovered. The ATV and dirt bikes have yet to be recovered.

The suspect was driving an older model Dodge Ram truck with side steps, a fifth wheel, and a hitch mounted RV mud flap. It is unknown whether or not the truck being used was stolen.
