Pelican Narrows Male Charged with Vehicle Theft in Prince Albert

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – On Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 12:52 a.m. Prince Albert Police Service patrol members were dispatched to 400 Block 28 Street West on report of a stolen vehicle.

The complainant had briefly left their vehicle running unattended and it was stolen. Officers did a driving patrol of the area and located the stolen vehicle behind a business on 32nd Street West.

When police arrived, the suspect attempted to flee in the vehicle. The vehicle was followed for a distance and eventually surrendered in the parking lot of a hotel on 3200 Block 2nd Avenue West. The suspect was arrested without incident.

A 24-year-old male from Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan is charged with one count of committing theft of a motor vehicle, and one charge of failing to comply with a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. (Information #991024230).

The suspect will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
