Prince Albert Police Recover Stolen Vehicle and Seize Firearm

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – One male is in custody after being located in a stolen vehicle and in possession of a firearm.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., September 1, 2017 while on routine patrol, officers located a suspicious car parked in the 3200 Block of 2nd Avenue West occupied by a lone male. Patrol officers confirmed that the car was stolen and approached the parked car. The lone male inside the car was arrested and confirmed to have outstanding criminal code warrants. Further investigation and a search of the car revealed a 12 Gauge shotgun and ammunition.

The 35-year-old male from Prince Albert has been charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public, several Firearms related offences and Breach of Court Order (Info # 991024346).

The accused will make his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
