RCMP search home and seize quantity of drugs in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia

Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia – Prior to 4 p.m. on August 27, Inverness County District RCMP executed a CDSA Search Warrant at a home on Cameron Court in Port Hawkesbury. A quantity of cocaine, hydromorphone, dexamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia were seized during the search.

Joseph Allison Sponagle, 25-years-old, of Havre Boucher, was arrested and is facing charges for Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Hydromorphone and Dexamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking. Sponagle will appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on October 30, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. to answer to these charges.

As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old woman from Inverness County is also facing charges for Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Hydromorphone and Dexamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking. She will appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on October 30, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.
