Prince Albert Police Investigate Break and Enter, Impaired Driver

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – File # 17-31328 – Break and Enter – On September 7, 2017 at 6:21 p.m. police were dispatched to a residence on 300 Block 15 Street West for a break-and-enter complaint.


A window had been removed from a vacant house and the suspect had gained entry. The suspect was located inside the residence by officers and arrested.

The officers located a box of miscellaneous items the suspect admitted to stealing from the house and garage.

The 25-year-old male from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is charged with break-and-enter and will make their first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court today (Information #991024942).

File # 17-31381 – Impaired Driver – On September 8, 2017 at 2:48 p.m. a suspected impaired driver was stopped on 32nd Street West. The driver was seen by officers leaving a bar and driving erratically down 2nd Avenue West.

When officers approached the vehicle, they could smell a strong odour of alcohol coming from the vehicle. When running the driver’s name in the system, it was also concluded that the driver was driving without a valid drivers’ license.

The female driver was taken back to cells and breathalyzer tests were administered. The female suspect exceeded the legal .08 limit.

A 35-year-old female from Prince Albert is charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and exceeding .08. The suspect has been released and will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on October 17, 2017.
