Cochrane, Alberta – At 11:17 am, Cochrane RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 1A, on the Cochrane hill, entering the city.
On arrival, investigators discovered a Westbound Honda car lost control and rolled over several times, trapping the driver and lone occupant, inside the car. The Cochrane Fire Services extricated the 64 year old Cochrane resident, from the vehicle. The driver was transported to the Calgary Foothills Hospital by STARS Air Ambulance, where the driver remains in serious condition. This investigation was assisted by the consultation of an RCMP Collision Analyst and will continue to determine the cause of the collision.
This collision is still under investigation and the RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or the driving events involving a red 2009 Honda civic, immediately prior to the collision, to police contact the RCMP Cochrane detachment at 403-851-8000.
